Julien Bodelet
Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) & University of Lausanne (UNIL)
I am a research scientist and the statistical lead of the Bioinformatics Unit at CHUV. Before joining Lausanne, I worked as a senior statistician at the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development at the University of Zurich. I also served as an econometrician at the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD). I received my PhD in Statistics from the University of Geneva in 2021.
My research focuses on developing new statistical and machine learning methods for the analysis of nonlinear and large-scale data. I am particularly interested in applications involving genetic data, brain data, and epidemiology. My broader interests include latent variable models, nonparametric statistics, high-dimensional models, time-varying models, and functional data analysis.
In my free time, I am a triathlete, (trail) runner, and salsa dancer.
